Huntsman Cancer Institute recently opened the Kathryn F. Kirk Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care and Women’s Cancers, the only place in the region dedicated to developing new treatments. Since the new center is an addition, it was critical to complete the project as efficiently as possible, without disruption or delays and ensuring patient and staff comfort throughout the process. Senergy’s Insulated Masonry Veneer System with MaxGrip Veneer Mortar was chosen to install the stone tiles on the building exterior over continuous insulation, air / water-resistive barrier, and drainage. The system seamlessly incorporates critical heat, air, and moisture control layers, increasing energy efficiency and reducing the risk of moisture intrusion. Additionally, using MaxGrip Veneer Mortar, a high strength setting bed mortar to adhere the stone veneer resulted in labor and time savings.
