The curved facade of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Niles, Illinois is the hallmark of the church’s architectural design. Originally installed in the 1980's, the façade was experiencing staining and leaking, which prompted the Archdiocese of Chicago to seek a renovation solution. EIFS was the ideal choice because of the ability to easily shape the EPS board to retain the curved design of the façade as well as incorporate the metal trough for rain and snow runoff — a key improvement to the design.
The renovation project included 9,000 sq. ft. of Senergy’s Channeled Adhesive CI Design and Senerflex Adhered Mat Design, plus Senerflex Tersus Finish, a modified acrylic finish that helps repel water and resist mold and mildew as well as dirt and staining.
