The Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), a 19-story masonry apartment building, required improved thermal and energy efficiency as well as a modernized facade appearance. Senergy's Senerflex GDC System was installed to increase the building envelope’s thermal performance by adding R15.2 of continuous insulation. Senershield-R air/water resistive barrier was applied over the masonry substrate to control air and moisture within the building envelope. The architectural design incorporated a multi-colored aesthetic with Sahara Finish to enhance the building’s appearance. The project is located along the highly visible 401 corridor in Toronto, Ontario and is the first of three towers to receive an extensive EIFS overclad.
