Located in Lead, South Dakota, formerly a mining town in the Black Hills and now home to year-round outdoor exploration, this hotel underwent a remarkable transformation to a Hampton Inn. The exterior was reclad in Senergy’s Insulated Masonry Veneer System to simplify multi-cladding construction, reduce construction costs and increase energy efficiency. The system seamlessly incorporates continuous insulation, air/water-resistive barrier and drainage. MaxGrip Veneer Mortar is used to adhere stone and thin brick veneer without mechanical fasteners, which puncture the critical underlying heat, air and moisture control layers, increasing the risk of thermal bridging and moisture intrusion.
